A four-bedroom house which sits under a bridge has hit the market for just under half a million pounds.

Located in east London, the property offers close links to public transport in more ways than one, with the back garden lying directly underneath a railway bridge.

And estate agents boasted that it lies 'close to public transport' - much to the hilarity of house hunters who saw the listing.

The property is listed for £450,000 and looks like an average terraced house from the outside - however a peek into the garden will reveal the interesting feature.

It is listed as being 'close to public transport' but with a railway bridge overlooking the back garden, any transport links will feel even closer to home.

Nestled below the bridge is a shed, a paved area and a washing line - both under the shadow of the huge structure.

The property also features two bathrooms and four bedrooms, including an expansive loft room.

Those who saw the property on a Reddit thread found it hilarious.

'Close to public transport,' one joked.

'If a Troll doesn't buy this, I'll be disappointed,' another said.

One said: 'Does the home come with a grappling hook?'

Someone else added: 'I like how the whole house must shake when a train goes over it.'

And another said: 'Is it close only in the sense that it has the bridge there, or is there an actual station within walking distance?

'In other words can I get a train the normal way or am I better off just getting a grappling hook and roller skates?'
